On 14th, October, three experts from Zhongzhi (Beijing) Certification Co., Ltd carried out an online audit of intellectual property management system (IPMS) to Xingtai Steel. This audit involved 10 departments, including technique center, management department and sales department. Hu Lining, the representative of IP executives and other managers attended the first and last meeting of this audit.
After the audit, the expert gave full affirmation to the work on intellectual property, especially on stimulating innovation, making technological breakthrough and IP protection. At the same time, there is plenty of room for improvement in trademark monitoring, the terms of purchase contrast and the frequency of infringement monitoring.
At the first meeting, the experts explained the types of know-how and its protection, and gave good advice to the management of secret-related personnel, area and equipment. At the last meeting, they explained the importance of trademark monitoring and analyzed the trademark suit of Tencent, which improved attendees’ understanding of IP management.
As an enterprise with an advantage in IPRs, Xingtai Steel got the first prize of National Science & Technology Progress Award. It takes technological research as the first driving force to build up the company. In recent years, the number and quality of patents filed is increasing. The number of patent applications received remains above 30 per year. In 2021, 23 patents were authorized, inlcuding 12 invention patents. Until now, our company got nearly 300 patents.
